So, today was a little frustrating. I have been trying to talk to some one from the TX Board of Nursing for several days about getting my nursing license changed to a TX one. I have begun to believe that there isn't an actual person that works in the office since no one EVER answers the phone. I mean never. Needless to say, I have several questions that are not getting answered over e-mail. Sometimes, you just need to talk to an actual person.
Well, I have researched enough to know that I have to have a TX drivers license in order to get my nursing license. To do that, I have to get my car registered here which could pose as a problem since I don't have a physical address yet. I also was told that I have to have my SS Card, birth certificate and something else to get my license. There is no telling where my birth certificate is with all my stuff in the storage unit. It could be a while before I ever find it.
Looks like I will spend tomorrow trying to find out how to get a copy of my birth certificate. On the plus side, I was born in TX, so maybe it won't be quite as hard as it seems. Oh, and the hotel I'm staying at said that I could have them send it here if I can get it sent by the end of the week. I know that everything is going to work out, but the process hasn't been quite as enjoyable as I had hoped.
Well, thanks for letting me vent, even if it's just on here. It helps to get off my chest. Oh, and one more positive, my sister and her family will be here on Saturday! I will officially know 5 people in the state of TX then. Anyway, thanks again for listening/reading.

Ahhh the joys of moving! Changing addresses, licenses, and other such things are never easy! Breathe deep.....you'll get it all worked out soon :o).
Like your friend said, you'll get it done soon! I know you can. Just sit back and enjoy the quiet of it all. In 5 days you'll be everwhelmed in a very crowded apt.! Love ya.
oh my goodness gracious! I hope you get that worked out pretty quick! What a pain!
